What I would tell my 25 year old self?

Recently one of my adult grandkids asked me this question. I told her I would answer her after I though about it a bit. The next evening I read her and her two siblings this:

This is what I would tell my 25 year old self?

Be kind to others and in particular to strangers.

Family is much more important than work.

Take your relationship with God much more seriously than you have, and believe that God loves you unconditionally.

Work hard to remove anger from your life, be quick to forgive others, and learn not to be offended by anyone or anything.

Work at learning that being humble is the way to a flourishing life.

Give your devices a rest often, and talk to those you care about face to face.

Finally, don’t spend anytime worrying about the past, it is done and gone, the future will take care of itself, spend all your energy and time in the present, loving your family and friends, helping those who need help including strangers, playing hard, learning and performing well in school, work, and volunteering, and spend quality time talking to God. Thanks for having an interest in my blog. You are welcome to read, comment and ask questions. I do have a few requests. I know this is an election year, but I am asking commenters not to make any political comments. I also ask that if a post angers you, to please let yourself calm down before you comment. I very much welcome calm thoughtful disagreement and criticism. If in a post I make a mistake, I will very much appreciate you pointing it out to me. Let’s face it we all make assumptions, and often they contain flaws. Again I appreciate your participation in this blog.
